Kami Knies has joined the staff of Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, St. Meinrad, IN. Kami will be an Administrative & Research Assistant for the Saint Meinrad Young Adult Initiative in the Office of Youth & Young Adult Formation.
Kami is finishing her Master of Science at Purdue University in Agricultural Science Education and Communication. During her time at Purdue, she assisted with various programs that targeted youth learning and young adult transformational learning.
The Saint Meinrad Young Adult Initiative was awarded a $1.38 million grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. in 2017 to begin a program intended to improve parish outreach to young adults and better engage them with the Catholic Church.
The initiative is a five-year project that will lead a group of 16 regional parishes to engage young adults (ages 23-29) in parish life.
